An anorthosite particle - anorthosite is a type of rock that is typical of the lunar highlands. This particle is thought to have been transported down to the Sea of Tranquility by successive meteor impacts. This particle contains both plagioclase and pyroxene. The iron and calcium content varies considerably across the particle. |
