The Energy Research Center annually presents Short Courses on topics of interest to employees of the electric utility industry. Many of these programs have evolved as a result of ongoing research and emphasize basic engineering principles and their application to the solution of practical problems. These courses are generally presented on campus, but can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a company and presented at a site convenient to its employees. The Center also presents Workshops dedicated to examining problems common to many utilities and proposing research programs in search of solutions.
