OPA01: Operational-Amplifier-Based Synthesis
The Op-Amp is a differential, high-input resistance, high-gain, low-output resistance device. It is typically used in feedback configurations to implement all sorts of useful circuits such as amplifiers, integrators, differentiators, filters, etc. The op-amp allows simple circuits to be combined into more complicated circuits, for example a PID controller. This experiment will cover the use of operational amplifiers (op-amps) to build an analog PID controller that will be used to control a simulated DC motor.
