Welcome to the Neural
Engineering Lab (Principal Investigator: Yevgeny Berdichevsky) at
Lehigh University.
Our research is focused on applying bioMEMS/microfluidic technology to
neuroscience. Current projects focus on 3 areas:
1) Development of culture and recording technology for high throughput
drug screens
2)
Study of signaling pathways in post-traumatic epilepsy, using
high-throughput recording chips and molecular/proteomic approaches.
3) Use of microstructures/microfluidics to study the
relationship between neural circuit architecture and function.
Yevgeny Berdichevsky (CV
in .pdf format) received his Ph.D. from UC San Diego in Electrical and
Computer Engineering in 2006. He was then appointed as
a postdoctoral fellow at Massachusetts General
Hospital/Harvard
Medical School's Center for Engineering in Medicine and Department of
Neurology. He joined Lehigh University as an assistant
professor
in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and
Bioengineering Program in 2012.
