Insight:
Team members usually come away with a more
unified understanding of design expectations when
simple conceptual drawings are made, as compared
to when verbal or written descriptions are used. |
Putting theory into action
The Gestalt theory and visual literacy had
great personal relevancy as I started my career as
a graphic designer. I found was able to gain
consensus on a design approach much more quickly
when I presented simple line drawings of proposed
concepts.
Consequently, when I delivered the finished
design, it usually met the expectations of the
client who had retained a basic mental image of what was
expected.
