Mery Family Interests

The latest passion is sailing - Hobie 16 catamaran (woo hoo!). Took kayaking lesson, but no open water yet. (see Lehigh Valley Canoe Club)

The kids are now in college - Kristen (the education psychoanalyst) at Gettysburg and Stephen (the science environmentalist) at Connecticut College. Northampton PAGE - Gifted Education, a chapter of PAGE - Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education continue to be an education related effort.

Our interests include Scouting (both GSA & BSA), music of all types (instrumental & voice), playing cut-throat pinochle, running, hiking, and a variety of sports and outdoorsy activites, such as sailing and soccer (tons of time there).

  Wayne and Stephen were involved in LTAA and Northampton Soccer Club. Wayne coached JV NHS (Northampton High School) Boys Soccer, Northampton Soccer Club, and served as soccer coordinator (1993-1997) & coach (1992-1998) for Lehigh Township's soccer program, whose travel teams participate in BMYSL (Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League). I am currently vice-president of Northampton Soccer Club and coached there for several years. More about soccer .

Mery family name (genealogy) is also another area of interest. Drop me a note if you are familiar with the Mery name (or Meri) from Philadelphia and Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania (PA) and France, particulary Paris -- and areas nearby.
