note 6: Courses that satisfy the finance major depth area include: Fin 324 Security Analysis & Portfolio Mgt, Fin 330 Financial Mkts & Inst, Fin 333 Global Finance, Fin 334 Derivatives & Mgt of Risk, Fin 335 Adv Topics of Financial Mgt, and Fin 336 Real Estate Finance. The prerequisites for all courses within the finance major depth area include both finance core courses: Fin 323 and Fin 328.

note: Other recommendations include experiential, writing, and speech courses. Some examples of experiential courses are Engr 211/Bus 211 (Integrated Product Development Projects); Engr 212/Bus 212 (Integrated Product Development Projects II); Fin 374 (Portfolio Management Practicum—by invitation only); Fin 373 (Finance Internship); and Mgt 311 (LUMAC Management Assistance Counseling). Some examples of writing courses include Jour 1-10 (Brown and White) and Jour 11 (News Writing). Examples of speech courses include Comm 130 (Public Speaking) and Comm 143 (Persuasion and Influence).
