HIGHLIGHTS

Wrote complex programs in C++ and FORTRAN to solve the governing singular integral equations for the fracture and contact problems by collocation method.

Used Finite Element packages like ANSYS, ABAQUS, and FRAC2D for stress analysis and fracture characterization.

Developed general methods for solving the mixed /moving boundary value problems of Fracture Mechanics

Obtained analytic solutions of certain benchmark problems for guiding the development of the computational methods.

Conducted extensive research on failure mode analysis , and analytical modeling, and fracture mechanics of modern composites, bonded materials, and materials with graded properties .

Interested in the computer algebra system Mathematica/Maple and have developed worksheets to solve problems in mechanical engineering.

Highly motivated team player with experience both as an individual contributor and as a team leader.

Advised five graduate students.

Involved the formulation of crack and contact problems in layered isotropic and anisotropic bonded materials with graded compositions, investigation of various methods of solutions of the mixed boundary value problems
