Here is an overall vew of whats in 004. Room 004 is the center of the star network topology in RBC. The orange tubes at the top contain fiber entering from the other network closets in RBC. One of those tubes contains the fiber we've seen leaving room 117. The black cables are fiber that travel from here through underground conduits to Packard Lab. The gray boxes are fiber patch panels which break the larger fiber cables down to individual connectors. The two boxes on the bottom are Cisco 3550 switches. The equipment on the right is a UPS system for the phone system which also lives in this room.
