Cisco Router in Packard
This is the Cisco 6509 router in Packard. There is a redundant router identical to this one in the rack to the left. The fiber from RBC travels through patch panels (not shown) similar to what we saw in RBC and ends up on one of the yellow fiber cables you see here. Each fiber cable is a feed from a different building. In this pic the one that is 3rd from the right on the top row is from RBC. These are GBE ports on the Cisco router. The yellow cable on the far right on secod row is the router's connection to the backbone switch which sits above it in the rack. The yellow fiber to the left of that connection is this router's connection to the redundant backbone switch that resides in EWFMB.
