The Lehigh
University Bookstore, located on the ground level of Maginnes Hall, carries
all texts needed for courses, a large collection of general books, personal
supplies, gifts, clothing and souvenirs.
We also offer computer software, Faculty author
titles and special orders for merchandise. Special events such as author
book-signings and the celebration of National Children's Book week are
held throughout the year.
Each year we produce a gift catalog which is mailed
to Alumni and undergraduate parents- it's now available on the WWW, too!
Our regular hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through
Friday and 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday. Extended hours at the beginning
of each semester and for special events are published in advance.
To make your shopping experience as convenient
as possible, the Bookstore accepts the following charge cards: Mastercard,
Visa, American Express and Discover. We will gladly special order an item
for you if it is not in stock.

Textbooks
Faculty Members submit textbook requirements to
the bookstore indicating title, author, edition, etc. The BOOKSTORE HAS
NO VOICE IN THE SELECTION OF TITLE OR EDITION. Books are arranged on the
shelves alphabetically by academic department and numerically within the
department insofar as possible. Shelf tags are placed with each book and
indicate the course, price, author, title and publisher. They will also
list the section if this information is known.
The official Booklist is published and copies are
available at the Book Service Counter.
If a textbook is out-of-stock, the Bookstore will
reorder that title. If you wish to reserve a copy, you may complete a Textbook
Reservation form, available at the Book Service Counter.
General Books
The Bookstore carries newly published books and
standard editions of general interest- both hardcover and paperback, technical
and reference books. We also carry audio books. Titles are displayed in
separate sections by subject category.
The bookstore provides an excellent selection of
gift items such as glassware, mugs, watches, and keychains. Our clothing
section provides a large range of apparel styles, colors and sizes. All
gift and clothing items proudly display the Lehigh University name, Seal,
Shield, or Mountain Hawk Logo.
Miscellaneous
This merchandise includes greeting cards, magazines,
newspapers, candy, snacks, health and beauty aids, etc.
Computer Software and Supplies
The Bookstore carries a large selection of software
and computer supplies.
Used Textbook Buy-Backs-
Several times throughout the academic year, a representative
from the Nebraska Book Co. will be here to buy back your used book. Most
current or recent titles will range from 20-50% of the cover price. The
Bookstore will post Buy-back dates.
Merchandise Returns-
Merchandise returns will be accepted under the
following conditions:
1. All returns MUST be accompanied by the CASH
REGISTER RECEIPT.
2. The merchandise MUST be in unused condition,
unmarked, and suitable for resale- in some cases the original packaging
must still be intact.
3. No garments which seem to have been worn may
be returned.
4. TEXTBOOKS MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF
PURCHASE DATE (items #1 and #2 above apply) through the first 9 weeks of
the semester. After the 9th week, textbooks may not be returned.
5. Certain merchandise is not returnable. This
includes calculators (and accessories), review material, study guides,
computer materials, computer books and sale merchandise.
