The works of Rodin have been housed in this mansion known as Biron Hotel.  Rodin used this as his studio, along with other artists, until 1909, when the hotel was slated for destruction. After pleading with the French government not to destroy it, he donated many of his works and it became a museum for his pieces in 1919.
