A taxi dropped us off directly at the Eiffel Tower. The legs of it are really.... well .... towering. If you walk ahead from here, you reach the very long grassy park where most people try to get their best pictures of the whole tower. I remember seeing people getting ready for a pony ride, children and dogs running through the sprinklers, lots of people on benches taking in the view, and a long line of people waiting to be taken up to the top. In the upper right corner, you may be able to make out one of the cars that takes people up the tower. There are also steps if you're that adventurous, but I don't know how far up you are allowed to get by way of stairs. Either way, it's not for us.
