Study Abroad Programs:

Students are encouraged to spend a summer, semester or year in an approved study program in Japan.  Students who wish to study abroad, and who wish to have the academic work taken in that program count toward a Lehigh degree, must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher.  Any student with a lower GPA may petition the Committee on the Standing of Students for an exception to this rule before applying to an approved study abroad program.  These programs are opened to all LVAIC students subject to the regulations of their home institutions.  For details on all programs, consult Dr. Sandi Smith, Lehigh Abroad Officer, International Education Office, 354 Whitaker Laboratory 610-758-3351.

Minor Requirement:

The minor in Japanese is intended for students who wish to gain a specific knowledge of the Japanese language and culture, as a complement to their major field of study.  The minor is composed of a minimum of 16 credits in Japanese.  Please consult the minor advisor, Professor Kiri Lee, Modern Languages and Literature, 513 Maginnes Hall.
