    1999 marks the end of a century defined by change. Women won the right to vote, African-Americans fought for basic civil rights, and minorities of all backgrounds have gained a voice in the American political system. The strides that all groups have made are remarkable, yet frightfully overlooked by today's generation. the power of one vote
    Voice Your Right and Responsibility
    The right to vote is the keystone of the American government, but the numbers of those actually voting remain extraordinarily low among young adults, ages 18-24. Despite the overwhelming majority of youth who do not realize the impact voting can have there is convincing evidence that proves the power of the vote. Sad disillusionment and widespread cynicism exist throughout the country about the ability to make progressive change through the political process, but it is imperative that young adults realize otherwise.
