CLC's Safe Place Policy

All volunteers and paid staff associated with children and/or youth of CLC are sreened utilitzing Policy Criminal Background Check and the PA State Abuse Background Check. Volunteers and staff are screened before they have interaction with the children, and then once every 60 months as per the PA State Laws, for the duration of their services. Paid staff are required to undergo FBI fingerprint screening as well, within the first month of their employment.

Sunday School

We are excited to share God's Word and the teaching of Jesus with you and your family. Sunday School Classes run from 9:30am - 10:30am each Sunday. Classrooms are open at 9:15am.

Sunday School is offered to students ages 3-12th grade. 3 year olds need to be potty trained or accompanied by a parent.

During Sunday School, there are two activites in which parents can participate: The 9:30am Worship Service and Adult Sunday School. Adult Sunday School meets in Classroom 9 and follows the same schedule as the children's programs.

There is a Parents' Bulletin Board located in the hall near the front exit door of the lower level. Please refer to this board for any upcoming news and announcements. CLC Policies, Evacuation Map, Sunday School Calendar, and Kid's Club/Tween Scene posters will be located there.

First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion instruction is offered to all 5th grader. Instruction is led by the 5th grade Sunday School teachers during the Sudnay School Hour for 10 weeks leading into Holy Week. Students receive their First Holy Communion on Holy Thursday at the evening worship service (April 13th for 2017)

Confirmation

Christ Lutheran Church's Confirmation program is a two year program for grades 8 and 9. Classes meet twice a month, on the First Monday and Third Sunday of each month. The curriculum is designed to provide the youth with catechetical instruction, faith-centered conversations, and fellowship to aid them in reaffirming the promises made at their Baptism. Youth who complete the two-year instruction are confirmed on Pentecost Sunday of each year (which is June 4th for 2017)
