A. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY, ETHICS & LAW:

These links are to more specific environmental, policy and ethics pages.

http://www.einet.net/galaxy/Law/Environmental.html The Environmental Galaxy research page is a very good place to get specific citations in a variety of areas on any environmental issue. Start here and then go to more specific legal pages to get full texts of citations.

B. LAW:

The FINDLAW sites are a good place to start if you already have a citation, statute or other legal citation that you wish to see full text.
You can also do basic research here across legal sources.

http://www.lawcrawler.com/ The first address allows you to search national, state and international legal data bases and fine links to the most general categories of legal resources.
http://www.findlaw.com/10fedgov/index.html The second gives you search and link capabilities to all federal branches of government, agencies and courts.
http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/ The third allows you to find specific legal case and statute citations quickly.

In addition to the FINDLAW sources, I recommend links to two law school research pages that I have found to be valuable if you are not quite sure what it is you are after. They provide links to all sources of law as well as course syllabi and other law school information.
http://www.law.cornell.edu/ Cornell Law School's research page links you to cases, codes, and regulations as well as many interesting search engines. A very valuable basic resource.
http://www.ll.georgetown.edu/ Georgetown Law School's research page is also very well organized, especially for District and Circuit Court opinions.

C. GOVERNMENT RESOURCES:

These pages can all be found through FINDLAW and other ways, but I have found these particular sites to be valuable in organizing my thoughts and in finding documents on current environmental issues.

http://www.ncseonline.org/NLE/CRS/ This link is to the Congressional Research Services Environmental Reports and is the most valuable page for up to date environmental research on current and past Congressional issues. This is an excellent cite to get background on the entire range of environmental issues. This is where your Congressman goes. You can print out complete CRS reports for free. A must see!
http://thomas.loc.gov/ THOMAS is the homepage of the House of Representatives. This is valuable for research into policy before or as it becomes law. Everything from CERCLA to Committee reports, to riders on appropriations bills is here for examination.
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/glin/glinhome.html This link is to the Law Library at the Library of Congress. In order to use this page you need to be an experienced searcher, but if you are, you can get information on any place in the world and their environmental/legal issues.

The Pages for the Environmental Protection Agency and the department of the Interior are important sites, with which all environmental students should be familiar.
http://www.epa.gov/ This is the homepage for Federal Commissions and agencies.
If you know you want documents or information from a specific agency this is the fastest way to it.
