On January 31st, our club embarked on its third trip of the academic year, visiting the offices of PwC and KPMG in New York City.
Lehigh accounting students recently had the opportunity to engage with top professionals at PwC and KPMG through exclusive networking and learning events. These sessions provided valuable insights into firm culture, career opportunities, and the future of accounting.
At PwC, students started the day with a welcoming breakfast and networking session, setting the stage for meaningful conversations with professionals. A panel discussion followed, where PwC associates and leaders shared their experiences and answered questions about career paths, firm culture, and industry trends. The event concluded with a compelling talk on artificial intelligence and how PwC is integrating AI into its operations, offering a glimpse into the evolving role of technology in accounting.
In the afternoon, KPMG hosted a lunch event featuring a firm overview and a chance for students to connect with professionals in a relaxed setting. Attendees also got a preview of the firm's office tour experience and learned about KPMG's exciting expansion in New York City, with a brand new office opening in West Manhattan.
Both events provided students with invaluable opportunities to network, gain industry knowledge, and explore potential career paths. As accounting firms continue to innovate and expand, Lehigh students remain at the forefront, ready to take on the future of the profession.
