Degenerate Four-Wave Mixing Allows the measurement of most elements of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility tensor that describes the interaction of optical fields at a given frequency and determines such effects a self-phase modulation, self-focusing, and soliton formation. We also use the same setup for Holographic Time of Flight measurements of charge transport over transport lengths of a fraction of a micrometer and on time scales from picoseconds to a few nanoseconds. |
