Burger appointed Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies for College of Arts & Sciences
R. Michael Burger, Ph.D.
Professor Burger was named Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in 2020. Dr. Burger oversees the 12 graduate programs in the College. In addition, he is involved in developing policies to enhance the scholarly work of the College of Arts & Sciences.
University's Faculty Senate elects new chair
M. Kathryn Iovine, Ph.D. was elected chair of the Faculty Senate in 2020. The Senate strives to institutionalize shared governance among faculty, administration, and the Board of Trustees. Current goals of the Senate are to establish a Faculty Code of Ethics, to expand the categories of faculty ranks, and to continue to facilitate communication between faculty and administration around COVID-related concerns.
