ó õ p/2 0  cos(x)dx.

Solution

ó õ p/2 0  cos(x)dx = sin(x)| 0p/2 = 1-0 = 1.

That first step might be confusing. But remember, all we need to find is an antiderivative of cos(x) . Since sin(x)¢ = cos(x) , sin(x) is an antiderivative of cos(x) .
