I am a Professor in the College of Education at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. I currently serve as the Program Director of the Teaching, Learning, and Technology program. My research interests include: immersive learning, design and development of virtual reality learning environments; the design of Web-based inquiry learning environments; learning with spatial thinking tools including GIS; design and implementation of inquiry-based environmental science curricula; visual instructional technologies; and the use of instructional technologies to promote learning. I am also a faculty member of Lehigh's Environmental Initiative.
I received my B.S. from the University of Michigan in Biology and Psychology in 1988, my M.Ed. from George Washington University in Science Education in 1992, and my Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in Science Education in 1999.
