The Department of Biological Sciences studies living systems at levels ranging from the structure and function of molecules to the behavior and evolution of communities of organisms. Join a program focused on neuroscience and cellular and molecular biology.
The graduate program offers a research-oriented curriculam leading to a Ph.D. degree in Biology, with concentrations in: biochemistry, evolution and behavior, neuroscience and cell and molecular biology. Students are part of a community that fosters faculty engagement, a collaborative student community, and extensive opportunities to conduct research, teach, and publish. Graduates have secured research positions at prestigious academic institutions or are employed at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
